Hello Allante' Members, PeachStaters and friends!
It's that time. The Allante Atlanta Car Club is gearing up for Fall and planning a fun but challenging drive requiring good driving skills, an Allante', an XLR or a favorite Cadillac of your choosing. This year we are planning a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and parts of US Highway 421, AKA "The Green Eyed Snake" which is a mere 33 miles and boasts 489 curves, 3 mountains and 1 valley.
We will be rallying at the McDonalds (our favorite rally place) in Buford at 7 am. (Yes, yes, I know its early but we have miles to go before we sleep.) From McDonalds we'll start on I-985 to US 441/74 to Waynesville, NC where we will pick up I40E. We will stop a little before 1 pm at the Switzerland Inn and Chalet Restaurant for a delicious lunch. The Switzerland Inn is about halfway in our travel to Boone NC (our hotel for the weekend). More stops along the way for rest and picture taking and oohing and aahing before we reach Boone
A word of caution, you'll want some solid brakes, check the tread on those tires and best if your eyeglass prescription is up-to-date. And remember, if at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
And don't worry ladies and gents' were planning a route that's just enough to excite you and not enough to make your passengers sick. Well that's the plan anyway! This year we are extending a warm welcome to members of the PeachState Cadillac Club and Allante owners across the south. Several PeachStaters have already signed up and will be joining us for our Fall Cruise in those BIG Beautiful Caddies, They promise to drive nice and not push us.
Paula Vopelak the AACC Trip Queen has already made arrangements for a special rate at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Boon, North Carolina.
Our rate for either two doubles or king rooms is $124 / night. We only have 20 rooms blocked so book now.

Keep in mind that members from the Atlanta area we will be driving 4+ hours to get to our route starting point. But remember you'll need to make your hotel reservations now.
