CLC Grand National in Louisville, KY

Are you ready for a great road trip to the fabulous CLC Grand National in Louisville, KY, home of the Louisville Slugger factory, Churchhill Downs, Bourbon Trail, and more??? Of course we are ready!
The Cadillac & LaSalle Club's annual Grand National Meet is the club's largest gathering. It is held in different cities each year. On average 1300 members (including their families and guests) assemble at a large hotel to meet new people and renew old friendships, attend seminars, tour local attractions, and prepare their Cadillac or LaSalle to be judged or displayed on the hotel grounds.
A Welcome Reception kicks off the four- to five-day meet, and an Awards Banquet on Saturday night honors individual achievements and rewards the best vehicles on the show field. In between, there are driving tours, events for the ladies, the CLC and CLC Museum board meetings and many other fun activities for the entire family. Saturday is car show day, where hundreds of Cadillacs and LaSalles are parked in the hotels lot arranged in model year order, awaiting admiring glances from the public and deep scrutiny from the judges. The CLC Grand National creates memories for years to come, and many members never miss a meet.
We will meet Tuesday, June 11, at the Cracker Barrel restaurant at exit 20 off I-75 and SR 20, at 8:00 am. If you choose to have breakfast there arrive earlier so that we can depart for Louisville promptly at 8:30 am. We will have an easy drive to Louisville along I-75 to Chattanooga, then either switching over to I-65 or a more scenic route on 111 to I-65 into Louisville. Drive time is about 7 hrs not including lunch and rest stops.
The Grand National tour agenda is wonderful, allowing a variety of interests to be explored. For those of you who have registered for the Churchill Downs tour and dinner, you will have a WOW time. Ladies, don't forget your Kentucky Derby style hats and glamour for the evening at Churchill Downs. Those bourbon lovers, well you will have plenty of opportunities during the week. If you are driving your Cadillac, bring your cleaning supplies, there is some chance of rain during the week. Otherwise it looks like its going to be a wonderful "cooler" week for all of us in Kentuck!!!
So plan your packing accordingly, and plan on seeing gorgeous Cadillacs, Allante's, and XLRs as well as meeting friends and making new friends at the beautiful Crown Plaza in Louisville.
