Annual Fall Cruise
OCT 25-27

Fontana Village Resort & Marina
300 Woods Road
Fontana Dam, NC 28733

Greetings Allante' Family Members,

Our Fall Cruise is traditionally a drive through the mountains to enjoy the leaf colors and crisp mountain air, staying at a mountain lodge somewhere for the weekend. And we are going to do that by traveling on Friday 10/25 to Fontana Village enjoying the beauty of fall leaves and all the leaf lookers. We will enjoy Friday evening libations (the Club's, the bar, yours or whoever shares),and dinner in the Mountainview Restaurant. During and after dinner, Norman (our resident Fontana expert) can share history of the Lake, Lodge and area with us.

Then Saturday morning after breakfast we will drive to Bryson City NC to catch a steam train at Smoky Mountain Railroad Depot, riding the rails and sipping crafted local moonshine and enjoying a delicious barbecue lunch. We will get a tasting of different "shines", a souvenir jar, etc for $122/person round trip. The train ride is a 4-1/2 hour excursion, returning to Bryson City.

The scenic rail excursion takes you from an historic depot in Bryson City, through the beautiful countryside of Western North Carolina. The train will depart at 2 pm (meaning we have to be at the depot in Bryson City at 1 pm), and returning 4-1/2 hours later or 6:30 pm to Bryson City. We will return to Fontana for dinner and the evening.

Following everyone's confirmation by Tuesday, 6/25, that you are going on the steam train ride, I will reserve seats and pay for the tickets. If you change your mind after I've ordered tickets there is no refund!!!! You will still have to pay me $122/person plus taxes. You may pay via check or cash to me Friday, 10/25.

Our rally point for our departure will be provided as we near the trip. So stay tuned!

You will also be receiving another evite poll soon on our Christmas Cruise. So expect more from me.

If you have questions, call me or email me.
