April 2015

Our new member spotlight this quarter features Alan Kotch of Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Alan joined the Allante' club in December 2014 after purchasing his 1993 Pearl Red Allante' in Fort Myers, Florida from his Father. According to Alan his Father is a car buff and Cadillac is one of his favorites. He had recently purchased another car and decided the Allante' needed to go. Without hesitation Alan claimed the car. With only 25,000 original miles and kept in pristine condition, it was an easy decision.

Alan lived in Italy for a number of years and really appreciates the Allante's design and tie to Italy. Alan was showing his 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider at the Italian Car Day event in Norcross, Georgia in November when he saw a Polo Green Allante' displayed at the show. He met the car's owner - Bill Corn, who gave him a wealth of information about the car and the Allante' Atlanta club. A few weeks later after flying to Florida to pick up the car, Alan joined the club. He attended a club breakfast at Mimi's cafe and the Winter Dinner and is looking forward to future events.

Alan works for the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. He has one son Andrew who is a freshman at Georgia Southern University. At home he has one adopted dog, one adopted cat and a bunch of parakeets none of whom are allowed in the Allante'. His other hobbies include keeping up with five cars, travel, skiing and reading.
